Philanthropy

"Every good human being has the moral responsibility to be rich, so that, that financial surplus can be utilized for the betterment of the world"

Some of the philanthropic initiatives where we play a meaningful role are Anandaya Foundation and Accelerate Indian Philanthropy, both not-for-profit organizations setup with a vision to transform India's landscape of “giving and growing.”

About Anandaya Foundation

Reading skills are the base of all literacy, education and learning. In India 55 percent of children in grade 5 cannot read grade 2 text.

Anandaya is a not-for-profit organisation that is committed to transforming this reality by improving foundational reading and learning skills among children from low income households. Through its flagship initiative ‘Project Pustakalaya’ - a learn-to-read and library program for children in government primary schools, Anandaya is working towards the goals that NEP 2020 has set for India.

The program has been highly successful and deeply appreciated by all - students, principals, teachers as well as educational authorities. Reading fluency and critical thinking outcomes show improvements ranging from 50 to 80 percent over a 3 year period.

Anandaya has set up over 450 libraries in 8 states. Over 200,000 children and 2,500 teachers have benefitted from it.

Founded in 2015 by educationist Jaishree Goyal and incubated by SKG Family Office, Anandaya is a professionally managed organisation that has an ambitious plan to grow multi-folds in coming years.
